eBay is one of the largest and most competitive online marketplaces for all kinds of products. When it comes to those sold by the unit, weight, length, volume etc eBay's size can become a problem. With thousands of listings returned for many common products it is impossible to find the one that is the best value.
eBay features a cost per unit measure on some listings but we have found it to be wrong a lot. Many listings are what eBay calls 'mult variant', meaning that the single listing contains variations of the product and one of these is often the quantity being sold. Each variation of quantity will have a different cost per unit and there is no way to find out what that is on eBay unless you click on every listing and check every variation on offer. Sorting by price therefore doesn't work either as there are often variations for sample sizes which may be cheap but their cost per unit is very high.
After becoming frustrated with the problem of being unable to sort on price per unit in eBay we decided to build a solution. We check eBay regularly for a range of popular products and our unique software assesses each listing. We extract the quantity on offer from all listings and their variations, calculate the cost per unit and display the listings on our site sorted by cost per unit.
Because of the errors some sellers make when listing their products for sale we can't interpret everything correctly but we make it much easier to find the best bargains on eBay at any given time. We are adding new products all the time and we earn a small commission for our effort should you go on to make a purchase.

Welcome to your guide to affordable and effective shaving gels, designed to help you achieve a smooth, comfortable shave without a high price tag. If you're looking for budget-friendly options to protect and soothe your skin, you're in the right place. Explore the world of cheap shaving gels, including the different types available, the benefits of using them, correct usage techniques, storage methods, and practical tips for a superior shave on a budget.
Discover the advantages of incorporating budget-friendly shaving gels into your grooming routine:
Cost-Efficiency: Affordable shaving gels provide excellent value, allowing for a quality shave without the premium cost, especially when bought in larger quantities.
Skin Protection: Even budget options create a protective layer between the razor and your skin, reducing friction and the risk of nicks, cuts, and razor burn.
Improved Glide: These gels lubricate the skin for a smoother razor glide, helping you achieve a closer shave with less irritation.
Accessibility: Inexpensive brands are widely available in supermarkets, discount stores, and online, making them easy to find and replace.
Choose a shaving gel based on your skin type and shaving preferences:
Sensitive Skin Gels: Formulated to be free from harsh alcohols and fragrances, these gels are ideal for those prone to irritation and redness.
Moisturizing Gels: Often enriched with aloe vera or glycerin, these gels help to hydrate the skin during and after your shave, preventing dryness and tightness.
Clear Gels: These transparent formulas allow you to see the hair you are shaving, providing precision for shaping beards or sideburns.
Standard Foaming Gels: The most common type, these gels expand into a rich lather that provides a classic, comfortable shaving experience.
Utilize affordable shaving gels for various grooming needs:
Daily Facial Shave: Use a small amount for your everyday routine to ensure a quick, comfortable, and protective shave.
Body Grooming: Budget-friendly gels are perfect for larger areas like legs and chest, providing ample coverage without worrying about cost.
Travel Kit Essential: Affordable, travel-sized cans or tubes are perfect for keeping in your dopp kit without concern about loss or theft.
Ensure proper usage of cheap shaving gels for an optimal shave:
Start with a Warm Wash: Wash your face with warm water before applying gel. This softens the beard and opens pores for a closer shave.
Use a Small Amount: A coin-sized amount is usually sufficient. Using too much can clog your razor and doesn't improve performance.
Let it Sit: After applying, let the gel sit on your skin for a minute to further soften the hair.
Shave With the Grain: For less irritation, especially with budget gels, start by shaving in the direction of hair growth.
Preserve the quality and longevity of your shaving gel with proper storage:
Avoid Extreme Heat: Do not store cans in direct sunlight or next to heaters, as pressure can build and degrade the formula.
Keep Lids Secure: For tube packaging, always screw the cap on tightly to prevent the gel from drying out.
Store Upright: Keep aerosol cans upright to prevent leakage and ensure the propellant functions correctly.
Discover how to maximize your experience with affordable shaving gels:
Invest in a Good Brush: Using a shaving brush to work a gel into a lather can provide a more even application and a closer shave.
Sharp Blades are Key: A cheap gel with a sharp razor will always give better results than an expensive gel with a dull blade.
The Cold Water Rinse: After shaving, rinse your face with cold water to close pores and soothe the skin.
Calculate Cost Per Use: When comparing prices, larger cans often have a significantly lower cost per shave than small, travel-sized ones.
Navigating the world of affordable shaving gels allows you to maintain an effective grooming routine without overspending. Whether you have sensitive skin, need extra moisture, or simply want a reliable daily gel, budget-friendly options offer a practical and cost-effective solution. By following the correct usage and storage tips, you can enjoy a comfortable, close shave every time. Remember, a great shave isn't about the price tag—it's about using the right technique with products that work for you and your wallet.
